Dr. Gupta Presents Scalp Reconstruction After Failed Flap

Watch On Demand

A 75-year-old male with a scalp angiosarcoma was initially reconstructed with a latissimus dorsi free flap.

When that flap failed, the patient was left with exposed calvarium and no periosteum.

Dr. Subhas Gupta, Chairman and Professor, Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University, was able to achieve wound closure in this large full thickness tissue defect.

Watch this case-specific video to hear Dr. Gupta discuss:

    • His first use of Integra
    • Time to closure
    • The successful result in a salvage-type case
